I am involved with a small group of capable and professional people who are working towards the development of a creative arts center that will serve the Grand Circle and be headquartered in Saint George. We see this center eventually encompassing all of the arts including music, theater, dance and other mediums, but, to begin with, we are concentrating on establishing a financially viable Arts Center Gallery. We are also identifying high-traffic locations that would lend themselves toward the production of mini-artfests that would accommodate 20-30 artists. To that end, I have started discussions with two entities: the City of Saint George, which owns the parking lot on the corner of Main St. & Saint George Blvd., and, the Promonade at Red Cliffs courtyard across from the Zion Factory Stores. Both are highly interested in holding these events.
